Rail,
Tennessee Tech is down this year, they are strong at home, but a very weak road team. Haven't looked to see where the OVC tournament is, but if it's not at TTech, they have no chance.

GreenDoberman you are correct about Tenn. Tech. The OVC tourney is in Nashville (the final four teams). This is my first post but I do follow the OVC very close. There are probably 3 teams I would rate higher than Tech. 1) Murray State 2) Austin Peay 3) Southeast Missouri State.

pool,

Glad someone is paying attention, I will hold you responsible for hitting 60% ats over 25 OVC games this year. Hopefully we can get 2 teams out of the OVC into the dance, maybe Morehead State can win the confrence tournament and get a bid along with Tech.

Speaking of paying attention, I assume you put Virginia in the Final Four just to see if anybody noticed?

Not even sure if the Hoos will make the Tourney.

Funk,

Ive seen Virgina in person, team is very good, well coached, can rebound and shoot the 3, they can kick it up a notch when they need to. When they beat Duke on JAn 11 to go 13-0 on the year, you may take notice. NorthCar is poorly coached, Duke is stupid and lives by 3.

pool,

Morehead State wins the confrence tournament, IMO.

more to follow, Murray and Peay are hype, Morehead will get you cheese.

Stanford wins National title.

You definitely know your college hoops...but if you're right about Virginia, I'll be in awe.

Gillen has done much less with more-talented teams @ UVa. For example, 2001-02 with Chris Williams, Travis Watson, Roger Mason, Adam Hall.

I don't think UVa can crack the top 4 in the ACC...Duke, UNC, Ga Tech, Wake...they'll battle with Maryland/NCState/FSU for the last 1-2 ACC spots in the NCAA Tourney.

But if you're right (or even close to being right)...all I gotta say is:

Thanks pool,
we need someone with good info on the OVC.

Rail,
I have to agree with others, the competition in the ACC is too tough for UVA. And LMU had them down 10 didn't they, and let game slip away.
They may make tourney, that is if they can get through murderous ACC, but they won't make it past 2nd round, imo. They don't have the inside game to match up with many teams.

Creighton is solid, but Missouri Valley is tough with 4 or 5 teams capable of getting hot and winning the tourney. Wichita St. is a sleeper team to look for in that conference. It will be tough for the MVC to get an at-large, but they have performed well in the tourney. Regardless of who makes it from conference, they should have potential to get past the first weekend, depeding upon the matchups.

I think the Big 12 conference champ is Missouri. They are tremendously talented and have everything but a coach.

I think its going to be tough in the MVC and I kind of like Wichita State, good coach and decent talent.

Big 10 champs I would go with Wisky.

Green,

MVC should get 2 but instead they take #7 big 11.

Buzz,

Quin Snyder is the worst

Yes, MVC should get too, and historically they either pull upset or play tough in tourney.
Agreed about Snyder, and outside of Conley, Missouri has nothing but selfish streetball players.
Memphis was a nice play for me today, even though I'm far from a Calipari fan.

I know Snyder is bad but I love Paulding and Conley and they have a nasty freshman in Kleiza. I think this team is very good and Quin does get them going in February.

What about SIU in the Valley, they are tough. I hope WSU has the skills to win in the valley but I don't know if they will win at Creighton, SIU, Northern Iowa or even Bradley all of those places are very tough to play and the opponents will be wide awake for the pre season pick to win the Valley.
